I think a really important factor of wedding planning & just getting married in general is understanding that things are def not going to go as planned.⁠
⁠
We can create timelines, we can plan everything down to the minute, we can set systems in place to make sure EVERYTHING happens the way it was meant to - but guess what?⁠
⁠
It's not going to go as planned. ⁠
⁠
But that is totally not the same thing as being perfect for you & your partner. ⁠
⁠
It's so crucial to not sweat the small stuff & to not force timelines - it's what I tell every client of mine as we inch closer to their day - seriously, it's ALL good friends!! I'm going to create extra time if you want to hug a few extra people after your ceremony. I'm going to make sure that whatever time is lost because of authentic moments of just straight up CELEBRATION happen to put us a little behind - we'll make it work. ⁠

Regardless of weather or dramatics or whatever else decided to pop up to add a little sprinkle of chaos in your day -⁠

I can promise you that that sprinkle of chaos isn't going to take away from the downpour of joy that you are going to feel. ⁠

Tulsa is home & has the sweetest venues & most beautiful spots to make memories with my clients - but when two cuties inquire & ask if we can travel out to AZ & make an entire day out of them exploring this area for the first time?

The SWEETEST trip I ever did take

Seton had me fly out to photograph their proposal in Joshua Tree - TOTAL surprise to Megan. They stayed at the most beautiful Airbnb & we literally just walked right out & started shooting right in the desert. It was SO so fun!! You can seriously just feel the love between these two & I am so thrilled for their future together 🥲

Not ONLY did I get to shoot with the cutest people alive, but I’m also shooting their wedding too?? Yeehaw!!!

This place was one of the most incredible sights I’ve ever experienced. Nature blows my mind.

The longer I am a wedding photographer, the more I have in common with my clients & these two were SO incredibly down to earth. HECK their ideal date night (which I found out from my sneaky questionnaire I send to all of my couples) is a long, wonderful comfort meal with lots of wine and dessert. Just being present and enjoying eachother. We are seriously kindred spirits. ⁠

Getting to know every single one of my awesome couples is reason #1321432 why I have the best job ever. I swear the planning/lead up process BEFORE your wedding is JUST as enjoyable for me as your wedding day itself. ⁠
