Getting to know Lindsey + Beau during their engagement session was SO so special! During my time with my clients for engagement sessions, it's such an amazing way for me to really get to know who they are and what matters most to them.

The entire time working with these two, while we had several laughs, I could really tell that Beau was Lindsey's safe place. It was so prominent and obvious that she felt her most relaxed and safe self when they were together!

Now, on their wedding day, I know exactly how to photograph them in a way that feels true to their one-of-a-kind love story.

Engagement sessions might seem like another task to add to your growing list of wedding to-dos, but I promise - booking them with your wedding photographer is truly going to take your wedding photos to another level of genuine + intimate.

I absolutely LOVE big families, especially for holiday sessions. Usually it’s a bunch of out-of-towners and people who haven’t seen eachother in awhile getting together to finally have photos taken with one another and it is just FUN to witness the love just outpouring from everyone there. ⁠

I think without images to reflect back on, we take time for granted and lose sight of truly how quickly it passes by.⁠
⁠
Don’t forget to slow it down + take the extra photos, get them printed, book your sessions and lock in the sweet smiles of your kids while they’re young, the laughter on your grandmother’s face + the joy in your partner’s eyes when you two look at eachother. Holidays come and go more quickly than you think - these sessions are perfect for remembering. ⁠

Helen + Brian decided to “marry” their two cul

Helen + Brian decided to “marry” their two cultures and have a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and a traditional American ceremony all in the same day! ⁠

One of my favorite parts of the entire day was the tea ceremony. I had NO idea what to expect, but it was so warm and inviting and there were ENDLESS tables of HOMEMADE Vietnamese food for 50 people. After the meal, some of Helen’s family members loudly sang karaoke in Vietnamese and it was absolutely PERFECT LOL, they are seriously the sweetest people ever + I’m so grateful to have been brought into the family for a day to celebrate these two + capture all of the memories for them! ⁠

I think it’s really beautiful how two totally different cultures come together and create a uniquely blended day - it really goes to show that weddings are truly the place where everyone, no matter who you are, can gather joyfully and in celebration of two people who are endlessly in love with eachother. It’s so special and I am so happy I was there for these two!⁠

Experiencing a traditional Russian blessing during Mikey + Megan's wedding was SUCH a special event...plus, they even let me have a shot of vodka with them 😉⁠

It was so amazing to see Megan's family with a Philipino background take part in Mike's Russian background. It was a beautiful blend of cultures - these are two important parts of what makes them so unique and what contributes to their one-of-a-kind love story. Plus, for dinner they had both Russian AND Phillipino food catered by @justcateringbyorr and somehow it mixed SO well together?! YUM ⁠
